We're here 24 hours a day!

The Laboratory Department, staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offers a large variety of tests and procedures, for both inpatients and outpatients, which assist physicians in diagnostic evaluations. The laboratory is equipped with a Urine Chemistry and Chemistry Department, and a Hematology/Coagulation Department.

Routine services include:

• Blood chemistries
• Automated hematological test
• Protime (PT)
• Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT)
• And much more.

We also offer several quick serological tests for the detection of such things as Respiratory Synctial Virus (RSV), Group A Streptococcus, and Infectious Mononucleosis.

If you’re a hospital patient, the phlebotomist will draw your blood as your doctor orders, but just as important, he or she will help you feel at ease. We love visiting with our patients and try to brighten their day with a smile or kind word.

The lab is open for outpatient testing Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; come without an appointment. If we perform the test here, your doctor will have results the same day. If your physician orders a test we don’t perform here, we send it to our reference lab, LabCorp. We receive results directly from them and immediately pass them on to your physician.

We honor prescriptions from doctors nationwide. If you’re here on vacation or just passing through, for example, we can check your Coumadin level and fax the results to your out-oftown physician the same day. We have a fully stocked blood bank, so we’re ready, willing and able to give transfusions when needed.
