Big Bend Regional Medical Center Names New CEO
ALPINE, TX (Jan. 5, 2026)—Big Bend Regional Medical Center (BBRMC) recently announced that Wendy Barnett, MBA, has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective January 5.
Wendy brings nearly a decade of healthcare leadership experience, with a strong background in operational excellence, patient-centered care, and sustainable growth. She most recently served as CEO of Metropolitan Healthcare Services in Fairfax, Virginia, where she led strategic growth initiatives, strengthened operational performance, and supported increased revenue. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer at MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Wendy holds an MBA from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management from Colorado State University.
